Essay Topic:           “What experiences have led you to choose your educational field and career goals?
 Rules:
                     

Application: Must be completed in entirety
                                 

 Essay: Maximum of three typed, 8 ½ x 11”, double-spaced,

       12-point, Times New Roman font,
         1” margins on top, sides and bottom margins, in Word format.
                                
Applications: All applicants must use the on-line scholarship application located on the Butler County Fire Chiefs Association web page (www.bcfca.org)
 
Eligibility: Applicants must be an active member or a member of the immediate family of an active member of any of the Butler County Fire Departments, EMS, HAZMAT Units, Butler County Municipal Police Departments or Butler County Telecommunicator or Support Staff.
 
Deadline: Completed on-line applications must be submitted by May 31, 2019.
 

 

Applications and Essays will be judged on originality, content and presentation.  Consideration will be given to the applicant's extra-curricular activities, community involvement, employment and honors/awards. The Committee will select the top 5 applicants that best meet the requirements. The semi-finalists will be interviewed by the Scholarship Committee and the top two finalists will be selected to receive the Scholarships.  
 
 
All scholarship applicants will be informed of the selection results by mail.
Scholarship awardees will also be announced on the Butler County Fire Chiefs 
Web Site, June 15, 2019.  Formal presentation will be held at the First 
Responders Night at Pullman Park on July 6, 2019
